Critical Hit Gaming Lounge: Store Spotlight
Located @ 1540 Durham Regional Hwy 2, Courtice, ON L1E 2R6
On Sunday September 29th Twenty-two legacy hopefuls descended on the town of Courtice Ontario for Critical Hit’s bi-monthly Legacy 1k Tournament. It was smaller than usually crowd (due to the F2F command-fest and a legacy 5k the day before) but this did not take away from the fun or experience.

The secret to Critical Hit Gaming Lounge is they are fully licensed for the sale of Alcohol and believe you me I partook! They also have a small kitchen that keeps player’s blood-sugar levels high for optimal legacy gaming! Behind the bar and singles showcases are owner Domenic Aloe and manager Keith Heard; both of which are super receptive and accommodating. The physical storefront is a beautiful building that immerses you into the fantasy realm with its vaulted ceilings and rustic wood rafters. One complaint I have had in the past is the poor lighting conditions, but again management listened and came through upgrading and updating all the lighting. I highly recommend Critical Hit you won’t be disappointed!
I would like to thank all the hardcore grinders, new-again to legacy players and the North Bay/Sudbury crew that made it out. Every round my opponents were amazing and many laughs were had.
At the end of the tournament the top 4 was split by Adam Robinson, Caleb Aresen, Kieran Macduff, and the champion Connery Knox (whom bested me not once but twice with ease)! It makes you wonder how much testing went on in that top 4 hotel room the night before!
